7th Annual International Overdose Awareness Day Event

On Saturday, people gathered by the library to honour loved ones lost to drug poisonings and to advocate for various harm reduction strategies including a safer supply and supervised consumption sites.

Many people attended including Mayor Linnsie Clark, as well as AHS Director/staff, those grieving a loss, people in recovery, and vulnerable humans.

A free BBQ was offered, tables held information on resources, Naloxone training and free kits were offered as well as reflection stations. Chalk was offered to people to leave a message on the sidewalk.
